Frozen Food Tip

The principles are the same when you shop for frozen food as when you shop for other products. Whether frozen or not you must be mindful of the calories, fat and sodium content. Look for frozen entrees with less than 10 grams of fat per serving and 1,000 milligrams or less of sodium. It is very important to check the ingredients list too and don’t be fooled by frozen varieties of traditionally fried food. Do not mistake taking your entree from the freezer and baking as meaning that you are having oven-baked fries for example; they were fried first and then frozen. Choose wisely and try foods that you may not normally choose
